How it works
From a document to a scannable sheet
Hand ČITTAM Linkbook a Markdown, text, HTML, PDF, or Word document. It extracts the URLs and lays them out as QR records you can print, save, or publish, across as many pages as the collection needs.

- Raw QR scans bypass ČITTAM. Hosted links provide aggregate counts without per-scan visitor records.
- Hosted-link reports show aggregate counts, not visitor identities.
- Files are parsed and QR records rendered in your browser. When online, eligible extracted URLs can be sent for metadata.
- Saving to Vault or publishing a share sends document data. Saving a generated export to Vault uploads that export.

Private links and QR codes
We are building links that only you or the people you choose can open. Scanning the QR code alone will not grant access.
These controls will protect access through the Linkbook link. They will not secure the destination website itself or change your existing raw QR records and unlisted links.

Frequently asked questions
What happens to files I import?
- The file is read locally in your browser to extract URLs.
- Importing does not upload the original file. When online, eligible extracted URLs, including query parameters, can be sent to ČITTAM for metadata.
- Saving a document to Vault or publishing a share sends its document data. Saving a generated export to Vault uploads the export.
Vault does not keep a copy of the source file, so retain your original.
Why is an account required?
The account wall supports paid unlisted links, backup, abuse handling, and offline entitlement caching.
Do you track QR scans?
Raw QR records do not send a scan request to ČITTAM. Hosted links resolve through ČITTAM and provide aggregate counts without per-scan visitor records. The scanner and destination website may collect data under their own policies.
When should I use an unlisted link?
Use one when a long URL makes the printed QR dense or slow to scan.
Which inputs work?
Plain text, Markdown, HTML, PDF, and DOCX are supported by the current parser set.
