čittam linkbook

Terms of Service

Effective: 11 June 2026 · Operated by CITTAM SYSTEMS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN: U62099KA2026OPC219975), 401/18, 15th A Main, 13th Cross, Venkateshwara Layout, BTM 1st Stage, Bengaluru 560068, India.

These product terms supplement the CITTAM platform Terms and Acceptable Use Policy; for čittam linkbook specifically, this page governs.

The service

čittam linkbook turns URLs you save into scannable, clickable QR records — printable sheets, PDFs, and HTML exports. The core product is free with a ČITTAM account and runs in your browser; it works fully offline after your first sign-in.

Accounts

One ČITTAM account works across all čittam apps. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18, or have a guardian's consent, to purchase credits or subscriptions.

Utility credits and validity

CITTAM SYSTEMS offers single-use utility tokens ("Credits") for specific platform actions, including the generation of individual short links and QR-record features. Credits may be provisioned as part of a subscription tier or purchased independently as a "top-up", and are spent from your ČITTAM wallet (one wallet across čittam apps).

(a) Nature of Credits: Credits do not constitute property, have no fiat currency equivalent, do not accrue interest, and are non-refundable (except as set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy), non-transferable, and non-redeemable for cash or any physical goods.

(b) Validity and non-expiration of paid Credits: purchased, paid "top-up" CITTAM Credits do not feature an expiration date and remain valid within your active account indefinitely. Paid CITTAM Credits are subject to forfeiture only under the account-deletion or suspension/termination-for-cause provisions detailed in these terms. Subscription-quota Credits are valid for the billing cycle in which they are granted and do not carry over.

(c) Promotional and bonus Credits exception: any Credits allocated to an account via marketing campaigns, platform onboarding bonuses, launch-incentive programs, or promotional vouchers constitute non-paid platform gifts. CITTAM SYSTEMS reserves the right to apply a stated expiry window to such promotional credits. Any promotional credits remaining unspent upon the expiration of their stated window automatically lapse, become void, and are permanently forfeited without notice or liability to CITTAM SYSTEMS.

Short links & your responsibility

A minted short link (lb.cittam.com/…) is immutable — it permanently points to the URL it was created for, and continues to resolve regardless of your payment status. You are responsible for the destinations of the short links and QR codes you create and distribute. Linking to unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content is prohibited. We may disable (HTTP 410) any short link that violates these terms, and we respond to reports sent to abuse_report@cittam.com. ČITTAM is not responsible for the content of destination websites.

Subscriptions and cancellation

CITTAM SYSTEMS operates on an immediate infrastructure-allocation model: when you purchase or upgrade a subscription, the associated capabilities — online document backup, footer-free artifacts, and the monthly Credit quota — are provisioned to your account instantly.

You may cancel at any time via your account dashboard. Upon cancellation your subscription remains active, with full access to subscribed features, until the end of the current billing cycle. CITTAM SYSTEMS does not provide pro-rata refunds, partial credits, or retroactive adjustments for the remaining days of an active billing period.

If your subscription lapses, synced documents remain available read-only for 90 days (with reminder notices), after which they are permanently deleted. Your short links are unaffected by subscription status and continue to resolve.

Account deletion and waiver

You may initiate account deletion at any time through the linkbook.cittam.com settings dashboard. Account deletion is a permanent, destructive action. In consideration for CITTAM SYSTEMS immediately executing its secure data-dissociation protocols, removing personal identifiers, and releasing the infrastructure dedicated to your account, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that: (i) all active subscriptions terminate immediately without a right to a pro-rata refund; and (ii) all unexpired, unspent Credits associated with the account are instantly and irrevocably forfeited. You waive any claim to monetary compensation, refunds, or data recovery once the deletion workflow is confirmed. CITTAM SYSTEMS guarantees that no user data is sold, transferred, or monetized to third parties during or after this workflow. (Data-side details: see the Privacy Policy — printed short links keep resolving via identity-dissociated records.)

Acceptable use

No abuse of the service: no attempts to enumerate or scrape short links, no automated bulk minting beyond your quota, no interference with the service. Rate limits apply.

Suspension and termination for cause

CITTAM SYSTEMS may immediately suspend or terminate an account, short link, or platform access that violates these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, engages in malicious behaviour (including phishing, malware distribution, or spam), or exposes CITTAM SYSTEMS to legal risk. Offending short links may be disabled (HTTP 410). Where an account is terminated for cause, the registration information, transaction records, and such infrastructure records as exist may be retained — notwithstanding the standard deletion handling described in the Privacy Policy — for as long as applicable law requires or permits, solely for defending legal claims and cooperating with law enforcement under the Information Technology Act, 2000. A termination for cause may be contested through the Grievance Officer (see "Legal compliance and grievance redressal" below).

What "private" and "untracked" mean

Where CITTAM SYSTEMS describes short links as "private by default" or "untracked" on linkbook.cittam.com or in promotional material, those terms carry the following defined meanings. (a) "Private by default" means that slugs are generated as high-entropy, practically unguessable identifiers; that the platform provides no public directory, listing, or enumeration interface; and that a short link is therefore reachable only by someone who possesses it. It does not mean the destination URL is encrypted, and anyone who obtains the link — or scans a QR code you have physically or digitally shared — can follow it. (b) "Untracked" means CITTAM SYSTEMS deploys no advertising networks, behavioural-tracking cookies, data-broker pixels, or per-scan visitor records: when a short link is scanned, we increment an aggregate counter and redirect, recording nothing about the scanner. It does not extend to the transient, automatically expiring infrastructure-level processing described in the Privacy Policy, which exists solely to keep the service available and secure.

Limitation of liability and intermediary safe harbour

1. Intermediary status. In operating the lb.cittam.com short-link resolver and the associated QR routing functions, CITTAM SYSTEMS acts as an "intermediary" as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India): an automated transmission-routing layer and technical resolver. In that function it does not select the receiver of the transmission, initiate the transmission, or modify the information contained within any routed URL, QR payload, or user-supplied destination.

2. Destination-site disclaimer. CITTAM SYSTEMS does not review, monitor, endorse, guarantee, or assume any liability for the safety, legality, accuracy, or content of third-party destination websites, URLs, or servers resolved through the platform. Users click, scan, or redirect through linkbook entirely at their own risk. CITTAM SYSTEMS explicitly disclaims all liability for any malware, phishing, fraudulent transactions, or loss of data occurring on destination domains.

3. Statutory takedown. In accordance with Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, CITTAM SYSTEMS maintains a notice-and-takedown mechanism (abuse_report@cittam.com). Upon receiving actual knowledge via a government mandate, court order, or a verified lawful complaint regarding unlawful destination content, CITTAM SYSTEMS will deactivate or disable the associated routing link (HTTP 410) without prior notice to the user.

4. Financial liability cap. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, the total aggregate liability of CITTAM SYSTEMS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, its directors, employees, or infrastructure partners, arising out of or in connection with the application, software, utility Credits, or these terms — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or statutory breach — will not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you actually paid to CITTAM SYSTEMS for the specific paid feature giving rise to the claim in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) INR 1,000 (One Thousand Indian Rupees). This is an aggregate cap, not a per-claim cap, and matches the CITTAM platform Terms.

5. Exclusion of consequential damages. In no event shall CITTAM SYSTEMS be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses — including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business reputation, system downtime, or the cost of procuring substitute digital services — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Force majeure and system interruptions. CITTAM SYSTEMS is not liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control — including cloud-infrastructure outages, data-centre failures, distributed denial-of-service attacks, upstream network routing failures, and telecommunication breakdowns — nor, provided it has maintained commercially reasonable security practices, for unauthorized access or breaches executed by malicious third parties. The service operates on a continuous-maintenance model: we identify and patch issues as they arise, but no software is warranted to be error-free, uninterrupted, or impervious to third-party interference.

7. Savings. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, or your non-waivable statutory rights as a consumer. If any part of this section is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force.

Governing law, arbitration, and jurisdiction

1. Governing law. These terms, your use of linkbook.cittam.com, and all contractual or non-contractual obligations arising out of them are governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its principles of conflict of laws.

2. Domestic dispute resolution and arbitration (India). For any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these terms — including their validity, breach, or termination — involving a user residing in the Republic of India: (a) Mutual consultation: the parties will first attempt to resolve the dispute amicably through good-faith discussions within thirty (30) days of written notice; you may begin with our Grievance Officer (see "Legal compliance and grievance redressal" below). (b) Binding arbitration: if unresolved, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended), before a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by CITTAM SYSTEMS and the user or, failing agreement on the appointment within thirty (30) days, appointed in accordance with that Act. The seat and venue of the arbitration shall be Bengaluru, Karnataka, India; the language of the proceedings shall be English; and the arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.

3. International transactions and merchant-of-record carve-out. If you access linkbook.cittam.com from outside the Republic of India and your transaction is processed by our international merchant of record, Dodo Payments: (a) you acknowledge that billing, localized tax handling, and transactional refunds fall under the primary consumer terms of sale enforced by Dodo Payments; (b) for all non-billing claims brought directly against CITTAM SYSTEMS (including platform availability, service performance, and data claims), you agree to submit to the laws of India and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, India.

4. Mandatory consumer-protection carve-out. Notwithstanding clauses 1 to 3, CITTAM SYSTEMS recognizes that certain domestic and international jurisdictions provide non-waivable statutory consumer protections (including, but not limited to, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 of India and EU consumer-law directives). Nothing in these terms deprives a consumer of the mandatory statutory protections or local forum access guaranteed by the public-policy laws of their actual country of residence that cannot be altered by contract — including, for Indian consumers, the right to approach the consumer fora established under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Legal compliance and grievance redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the contact details of the designated Grievance Officer — who also serves as the data-protection contact for CITTAM SYSTEMS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED — are published below. Consumer grievances, security escalations, and data-privacy requests are processed within the statutory timelines prescribed by applicable law: grievances are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days of receipt.
